Business Analyst

About the role

A Business Analyst (BA) acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. They analyze business needs, identify problems, and propose data-driven solutions to improve processes, systems, and overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, product, operations, etc.)
• Create process models, workflows, and business case documents
• Support project planning, testing, and implementation phases
• Validate solutions to ensure they meet business objectives
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Knowledge of business process modeling (BPMN, flowcharts)
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Attention to detail and documentation skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in business analysis or similar role
• Certifications like CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or ECBA
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
