About the Opportunity
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT and technology-enabled initiatives. This position is responsible for gathering and validating requirements, aligning solutions with organizational goals and regulatory standards, and facilitating user acceptance testing. The role supports project delivery and adoption within a regulated healthcare environment, contributing to improved clinical, operational, and corporate functions.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation such as business requirement documents, functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Validate requirements with stakeholders and maintain traceability throughout project lifecycles.
- Analyze current workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Define future-state processes aligned with system capabilities and regulatory requirements.
- Document impacts, dependencies, and transition considerations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to support planning, scope definition, and delivery.
- Assist with intake, estimation, prioritization, testing, UAT coordination, and outcome validation.
- Ensure alignment with project management office standards and governance.
- Facilitate workshops and sessions with cross-functional teams.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
- Communicate requirements and impacts clearly.
- Support change management efforts by documenting workflow and role impacts.
- Partner with business owners on training, communication, and readiness activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT or enterprise initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with clinical systems, EHR platforms, or healthcare technology implementations.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Experience within a PMO or structured governance environment.
- Relevant Business Analyst certification (CBAP, CCBA, or similar).
Pay
Salary range is $85,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience.
