The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Business Analyst / Project Manager at Barclays plays a pivotal role in driving large-scale technology and infrastructure initiatives. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in business analysis, project management, or related roles within financial services or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in developing and managing project plans, requirements gathering, and process improvement initiatives.
- Able to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software such as MS Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of banking operations, infrastructure, and technology systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans for technology and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Cook up requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and support activities throughout the SDLC, collaborating with product and development teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Understand existing processes and tools, and identify opportunities for improvements to support decision-making and stakeholder consensus.
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, providing recommendations for new products and content enhancements.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, facilitating process improvements and large-scale initiatives.
- Resolve complex business issues related to infrastructure, technology, and operational processes, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Oversee project planning, initiation, and execution, providing leadership and direction to technical teams while ensuring projects stay within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Manage client expectations and scope throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and business needs.
- Train stakeholders and team members on internal products, services, and solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
