Business Analyst
About the role
MONTICELLOAM, LLC and its affiliates (“Monticello”) is a real estate and asset-based lender providing asset management and comprehensive capital solutions for healthcare, multifamily, and commercial real estate assets throughout the US. We are seeking motivated, collaborative professionals who bring creativity, compassion, and a strong work ethic to a dynamic team environment. We are looking for a Business Analyst to partner with teams across the business – exploring business problems and delivering clear, data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements
- Generate ad hoc reports and analyses that answer time-sensitive business questions
- Write Python and SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data across the business
- Take projects end to end – from business problem through delivered solution
- Contribute to project management support – helping coordinate and manage our offshore development teams to keep delivery on track
- Create automated data quality and QC processes that keep reporting accurate and trusted
- Create dashboards and reporting that drive portfolio decisions
- Contribute to AI initiatives across the business – including workflow automation, data ingestion, and analysis and insights
Requirements
Candidates must be able to work onsite at our New York City office.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to understand business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions
- Experience generating ad hoc reports and analyses for business stakeholders
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data modeling
- Familiar with Python for data analysis, automation, and reporting
- Git for version control
- DBT for data transformations
- Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse
- Working with offshore or distributed development teams
- Airflow or other orchestration tools
- LLMs for effective coding and productivity

Pay
The base salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 to $125,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire.
