Business Analyst

About the role

The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and documenting business needs, translating those needs into technical solutions, and ensuring that the final product meets both user and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and maintain business requirements from stakeholders and system artifacts.
• Develop detailed business requirements and process documentation, including use cases, process flows, screen mock-ups, and data dictionaries.
• Create and execute test plans and test cases, focusing on functional and system testing, including regression testing.
• Identify and document application defects, track issues to resolution, and perform necessary retesting.
• Work with systems related to criminal justice processing, including statistical reporting, disposition processing, fingerprint identification, criminal history updating, sex offender management, tracking of wanted/missing persons, or similar applications used by law enforcement.

Qualifications

• 84 months experience eliciting and maintaining business requirements.
• 84 months experience developing business requirements and process documentation.
• 84 months experience creating and executing test plans and test cases.
• 24 months experience with systems related to criminal justice processing.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using various software tools for requirement gathering and documentation.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
