Overview
LABUR is supporting a client through a business analysis engagement focused on translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive measurable outcomes. This engagement plays a key role in enabling process improvement, supporting change initiatives, and ensuring projects are delivered with strong alignment between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform stakeholder interviews and product analysis to gather business requirements using workshops, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other techniques.
- Establish process models, specifications, diagrams, and supporting documentation to inform user stories and guide development and testing teams.
- Analyze business needs and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
- Recommend strategies to improve or further leverage current solutions.
- Partner closely with development teams to translate business requirements into clear, testable, and actionable user stories.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to promote alignment, transparency, and shared understanding.
- Support Product Owners and Product Managers with backlog refinement and defining work that delivers business value.
- Facilitate system demonstrations and end-user training for new or enhanced technologies.
- Provide project support and contribute to change management efforts.
- Lead and motivate project team members as appropriate.
- Stay current with business analysis best practices and continuously build business domain knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Experience in an Agile environment and working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with requirements management tools and Agile project management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience in a regulated industry such as insurance or financial services.
Pay
$50 - $55 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
