Business Analyst

What This Job Involves

The Business Analyst will work closely with the Technology Lead, Finance Manager, and client to deliver and analyze a wide range of financial reports to support business planning and strategic decision-making. This role will be heavily focused around reporting creation and management.

Planning and Organizing

• Evaluate results and develop schedules and task/people assignments
• Orchestrate multiple activities to accomplish goals
• Use resources effectively and efficiently

Data Management

• Process large amounts of data in an organized manner

Technical Learning

• Pick up on technical things quickly
• Learn new skills and knowledge
• Good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge
• Does well in technical courses and seminars
• Proficient (Advanced Skills) with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, SQL is a plus

Information Management, Analytics, and Data Profiling

• Demonstrated information management, analytics, and data profiling skills

Working with Stakeholders

• Work with various levels of peers including analysts, developers, and executives regarding complex business and data related issues
• Facilitate projects
• Manage task timelines and deliverable schedules
• Recognize and share risks and roadblocks
• Good understanding of data quality management
• Knowledge of data governance and how it impacts business processes
• Willingness to support process improvement initiatives

Finance Team Support

• Provide finance team support as needed

Requirements

• Successful candidates will possess a preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum 2-3 years of experience
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including internal finance team and client business leadership
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
• Self-starter with the ability to excel in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand big picture
• Flexible and adaptable to tasks assigned
• A high degree of proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office applications
• PeopleSoft and Oracle knowledge is plus
