Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business, functional, and user requirements.
• Collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to define project objectives and solution requirements.
• Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, systems, data flows, and operational dependencies within the insurance organization.
• Conduct business process assessments and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Support project delivery efforts by creating documentation, workflows, use cases, and other project artifacts.
• Partner with quality assurance and testing teams to validate that requirements are accurately reflected in test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Participate throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring stakeholders alignment and successful execution of business objectives.
• Aid in defining requirements for new capabilities, process enhancements, and technology-driven initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support during system implementations, integrations, and process transformation efforts.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of hands-on Business Analyst experience with strong insurance domain knowledge and modern BA practices.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain (underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle).
• Strong experience with Agile and/or hybrid delivery approaches.
• IIBA certifications (CBAP/CCBA) preferred.
• Experience with APIs, data integrations, and regulatory considerations in insurance.
• Experience with digital transformation, customer portals, or data/analytics initiatives.
