About the role
Credence has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst who will primarily support the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Automated Addressing Systems, Digital Transformation program. The Business Analyst is expected to work across job functions and collaborate extensively with team members and clients. This role involves Scrum team support, detailed requirements elicitation and analysis, process documentation, and functionality testing. Secondarily, you will analyze internal processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement sustainable, scalable change.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop, document, and implement solutions.
- Analyze business and system requirements.
- Elicit requirements from senior Government staff to document business processes using BPMN 2.0 and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the development team and key stakeholders to analyze and understand requirements, then transform them into valid solutions.
- Facilitate Joint Application Design sessions to define workflow and features for a User Interface.
- Work with UI/UX designers to establish requirements for design hand-off and further refinement.
- Work with the Automated Testing team to verify functional requirements are met and effectively regression tested with each development sprint.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliver software solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Focus on solutions rather than the confines of a particular role.
- Collaborate on ongoing projects involving both new development and enhancements with engineers, developers, analysts, and other team members.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
- Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Document and communicate the results of your efforts.
- Benchmark approaches against the latest changes and standards in the field.
- Shift between projects and tasks with ease.
- Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of applicable experience in agile business requirements or a related discipline.
- Ability to elicit requirements, develop analyses, determine specifications, and verify outcomes in a Scrum environment.
- Experience with Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN 2.0) required; certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience documenting user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
- Ability to support application users by investigating, communicating, and resolving their problems.
- Direct experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and processes in a team environment.
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology preferred.
- Experience with knowledge management, data management, and process modeling tools, systems, and procedures.
- Experience with Defense Automated Addressing System (DAAS), Defense Logistics Agency, or Department of War is helpful.
Pay
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, certifications, skills, and overall qualifications.
