Business Analyst

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables

• Revises rates for various programs and prepares filing memoranda to obtain insurance department approval.
• Aids in designing and pricing new products or rating plans.
• Analyzes experience and performs miscellaneous research activities.
• Assists in developing management reports that are used to monitor performance, behavior, and results of company goals and objectives.
• Assists actuaries in other matters as needed.

Technical Knowledge and Understanding

• Experience and/or aptitude in Excel
• Experience and/or aptitude in data manipulation tools such as Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Access (a plus)
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
• Credit for completion of one or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams (a plus)

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics or related field or commensurate experience
• 1-3 years relevant working experience (plus)
• Demonstrated track record of achievement on relevant projects (plus)

Pay Range

The expected pay range for the role is $60,000 - $70,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and experiences.
