Business Analyst

The Gist

• Serves as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, and operations teams.
• Supports requirements management, business process analysis, Agile delivery, testing, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Conducts stakeholder interviews, workshops, process mapping sessions, and requirements gathering activities.
• Elicits, analyzes, documents, and validates business, functional, technical, and operational requirements.
• Develops business process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Collaborates with Product Owners, Agile Team Leads, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to support solution development and delivery.
• Supports backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and requirements traceability activities.
• Develops test scenarios, supports user acceptance testing, validates delivered functionality, and ensures requirements are successfully implemented.
• Analyzes existing business processes and recommends opportunities for automation, modernization, and operational improvement.
• Develops reports, presentations, executive briefings, and project documentation supporting stakeholder communications.
• Supports risk management, issue resolution, change management, and governance activities.

Special Requirements

• US Citizenship Required to obtain a Public Trust CSM Certification
• Preferred Bachelor Degree + 5 years of experience serving as a Business Analyst supporting technology initiatives
• Min 3 years of experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery environments
• Min 2 years of experience supporting federal government agencies or highly regulated industries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum five (5) years of experience serving as a Business Analyst supporting technology initiatives
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting Agile and Scrum delivery environments
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting federal government agencies or highly regulated industries preferred
• Experience supporting large-scale IT modernization, cloud transformation, software development, DevSecOps, and enterprise technology initiatives
• Experience utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Mural for requirements management, Agile planning, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration
• Experience developing business process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, workflow diagrams, and requirements traceability matrices
• Experience supporting testing activities utilizing Jira, Selenium, Playwright, SoapUI, Insomnia, TestCafe, or comparable testing and validation tools
• Experience supporting cloud and DevSecOps environments utilizing AWS services, GitHub Enterprise, Harness, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software delivery frameworks
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
