Responsibilities
- Identifies key business requirements through various methods including interviews, end user feedback, technical support content, and requirements meetings.
- Documents business requirements in a suitable format that communicates the specific functionality developed for the project.
- Analyzes current state of the application and creates target state documentation including wireframe, process model (BPMN 2.0), and business rules etc.
- Works closely with the Design team to ensure that final UI is in adherence to the documented business requirements.
- Acts as liaison between business and IT, including Compliance, to obtain input and approval on all materials where appropriate.
- User Acceptance Testing - Creates and executes user acceptance test plans derived from BRD. Partners with business stakeholders. Instructs QA testers when necessary.
- Develops expertise in the tools and techniques required to produce documentation, training, and online help materials.
- Project status reporting / communication - Maintains up to date project status and distributes updates to stakeholders according to department standards. Maintains consistent project communication to all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifies and escalates risks and issues to the team.
- Protects the Company’s authority to conduct business by complying with applicable legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment
- Experience working in an agile Scrum development environment, preferred
- Ability to clearly communicate business methods, processes, requirements, and standards to multiple project stakeholders including development, QA, business team, marketing, and legal
- Strong written communication skills with ability to creatively design documentation that meets and/or exceeds the end-users’ expectations and the overall objective of the documentation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in different software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall
- Software Experience
- Moderate to Advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Jira, Confluence experience
- Required. Smartsheet & Process Modeling tools like Lucid Chart/Draw.io preferred
- Power BI & SQL experience preferred
Schedule
Hybrid - 3 days in office - 2 days at home
Pay
The salary range for this role is $65k - $75k.
