Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis across operational, financial, and organizational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations tailored to the audience—from functional teams to executive leadership.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, success metrics, and analytical frameworks aligned with strategic goals.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports consumed at all levels of the organization.
- Manage the full dashboard lifecycle: requirements gathering, data modeling, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Apply data visualization best practices to ensure reports are intuitive, accurate, and drive user adoption.
- Develop and optimize data models, queries, and pipelines using Azure SQL, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric to support scalable, reliable analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility across source systems.
- Contribute to data governance efforts including documentation, metadata management, and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a trusted analytics partner to cross-functional business teams.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Document processes, share best practices, and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Scope
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, yet it carries a manager level title due to the strategic ownership of core processes that impact multiple other teams and functions within the organization. This role fills a critical business need as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. Qualifications
- 3-7 years' experience in analytics
- Hands-on experience with cloud analytics platforms, specifically Azure SQL, Databricks, and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and enterprise report/dashboard design.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles (star schema, dimensional modeling).
- Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, Pivot Tables, DAX, Data Models)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to troubleshoot advanced issues within Power BI, Excel, and Azure SQL
- Identifies core issues and develops solutions to present to decision makers when needed. Takes point and proactively identifies process gaps and implements solutions to prevent future occurrences when issues arise
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
