Job Summary
A Busser is a restaurant professional responsible for ensuring tables are cleaned and properly set for the next guests. They support the serving staff by clearing dishes, cleaning tables, resetting silverware, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Clear dirty dishes/glasses from the tables and bar when guests are finished.
- Clean tables and chairs to prepare for the next guests.
- Use sanitizing wipes for removal of all food products and germs.
- Reset tables with rolls of silverware.
- Clean up any spills in the restaurant.
- Utilize wet floor signs, mops, mop buckets, and towels to ensure a safe and dry walking area for team members and guests.
- Empty trash bins and take trash receptacles to the dock for disposal.
- Restock glassware.
- Fill ice Cambro’s and ice wells.
- Clean tray jacks and place in correct locations for ease of use.
- Set up dump stations at both back of house doors and maintain them throughout the shift.
- When a bus tub gets full, remove the full bus tub and take to the dish pit.
- These must be fully broken down at the end of each shift.
- The cart and all bus tubs should be cleaned as part of break down.
- If scheduled to help open the restaurant, assist with taking down chairs.
- If still on shift when the bar closes, assist with putting the chairs up.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of menu items and service as well as overall restaurant operations.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain KHRC License.
