Bus Driver

About the role

The Antioch Unified School District (AUSD) is seeking certified school bus drivers who hold all valid licenses, endorsements, and certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Drive students to and from school and extracurricular activities according to the district’s schedule.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student transportation needs.

Requirements

• Valid California Class A or B commercial driver’s license with passenger, air brake and school bus endorsements.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification issued by an authorized agency.
• Maintain a good driving record.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Valid California Special Driver certificate for school bus.

Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities of the job specification.

Salary range: Step A $28.26, Step B $30.52, Step C $31.85, Step D $33.47, Step E $35.16, Step F $36.94

Schedule

Hours vary by bid, 10 mos., 180 day work year calendar.
