Bus Driver

G&L Student Transportation is a family-owned company where drivers are valued as the most important part of our service. We transport future generations with a positive attitude, cheerful greeting, and respect while maintaining a safe and timely bus ride.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the company’s “People Standard”: positive attitude, strong work ethic, self-motivation, teamwork, reliability, and follow-through on commitments.
• Perform all driving duties with the utmost safety, using defensive-driving techniques.
• Communicate with students about safe loading/unloading, bus-stop locations, and safety at stops.
• Maintain close communication with dispatch regarding route movements, times, and any variances, especially emergencies or hazards.
• Respect and protect student and family privacy (confidentiality is mandatory).
• Keep the bus interior clean: sweep/dust-mop daily and empty garbage after each morning route.
• Fuel the vehicle at authorized card-lock or bulk-fuel locations.
• Report daily for assigned duties.
• Know and comply with Pennsylvania school-bus driver rules and regulations; report any traffic citations, violations, or criminal convictions that could affect licensure to the Location Manager.
• Manage pupil behavior on routes: remind students of bus rules and train them on proper conduct.

Pay

$22.00 – $25.00 per hour
