Bus Driver - After School

About the role

The YMCA of Greenville is seeking a Bus Driver to safely transport children and counselors to and from schools or field trips. This role involves acting as a role model in areas such as promptness, manners, language, appearance, and health.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 14 passenger mini-bus.
• Safeguard the safety of passengers at all times while in a YMCA vehicle.
• Maintain equipment to ensure the safety of participants.
• Communicate with appropriate supervisors regarding any equipment needs.
• Return the bus to its designated place, clean, and free of belongings.
• Maintain accurate records including trip and mileage logs.
• Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
• Attend and complete required abuse risk management training.
• Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.
• Follow mandated reporting requirements.
• Adhere to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License with the ability to operate a 14 passenger mini-bus - with preference given to those holding a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals who have experience in child transportation and a strong commitment to the YMCA's mission and values.
