About the role
The YMCA of Greenville is seeking a Bus Driver to join their team. This position involves transporting children and counselors to and from schools or field trips, and acting as a role model.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport children and counselors to and from schools or field trips.
- Act as a role model by maintaining promptness, manners, language, appearance, and health.
- Maintain equipment to ensure the safety of participants.
- Communicate with supervisors about any equipment needs.
- Return the bus to its designated place clean and free of belongings.
- Maintain accurate records including trip and mileage logs.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.
- Complete required abuse risk management training.
- Follow procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.
- Follow mandated reporting requirements.
- Adhere to job-specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License with the ability to operate a 14 passenger mini-bus - with preference given to those holding a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals who have:
- Experience driving a 14 passenger mini-bus.
- A background in child care or youth development.
- Previous experience working with groups of children.
