About the role

We are seeking a Burn Services Nursing Director for our team to be an innovator. HCA Healthcare partners with Harvard Pilgrim Institute and the CDC to use our data from more than 26 million patient encounters each year to impact the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s)
  • Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, and support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives
  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory standards and ensures compliance, and develop and implement policies, procedures and practices in compliance with all legal/regulatory standards
  • Direct nursing practice and unit operations, develop policies/procedures and nursing standards to ensure patient and family needs are assessed, met, and evaluated
  • Ensure effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management, and premium pay utilization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or approved education plan required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare required
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role required
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare and in a leadership role preferred
  • Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required
  • National Nursing Certification in Specialty or Nursing Leadership preferred
