Bunkhouse Attendant

About the role

The Bunkhouse Attendant at Cooperstown All Star Village is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of bunkhouse rooms and public areas. This position is based in Oneonta, NY.

Responsibilities

• Receives a list of assigned rooms from the manager and prioritizes rooms needing early cleaning.
• Checks the inventory of cleaning closets and restocks any necessary supplies.
• Removes soiled linens and blankets from each assigned room.
• Wipes surfaces in room, such as windowsills, beds, and storage containers.
• Vacuums and mops floors.
• Ensures room meets company standards with a final walkaround.
• Notifies maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
• Reports any missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Sufficient education and literacy are needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
• Preferred: Ability to communicate in basic English.

Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Frequently pull, push, and bend.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Willingness to work a rotation seven-day work cycle.
