Job Summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Member Services Representative to enhance customer service efforts. Responsibilities include greeting members, responding to inquiries, conducting tours, and assisting with membership changes.

Job Duties

• Create a warm and welcoming environment
• Educate members and prospective members about YMCA services
• Introduce yourself to all members and get to know each member's name
• Conduct tours of the facility to assess members' needs
• Handle phone inquiries regarding membership and program information
• Input program registrations into Active
• Assist with reservations for wellness center orientations
• Perform various clerical duties
• Help develop and participate in Member Appreciation/Retention activities
• Assist with annual membership data audit
• Report suspicious activity leading to child abuse or violating the code of conduct
• Keep supplies organized, maintain and clean facility, and care for equipment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old
• High school graduate or equivalent required
• College degree with emphasis in Marketing or Communications preferred
• At least 1-year previous customer service experience required
• Broad overview of the YMCA preferred
• Must complete required trainings upon hire: Intro to Y's Cause & Culture, Ys Way to Service & Engagement, and I Hear You: Service with CARE
• Must be working towards Member Specialist I position within 60 days of hire
• Must complete additional trainings: Foundations of Listen First with Listen First Skills Assessment, Get SMART, Three Keys to Successful Family Engagement, Living our Cause for Frontline Leaders, Cause Driven Tour Workshop with Post Workshop Evaluation, and Active.net Skills Assessment
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred
