Building Services Technician I

Duties/Responsibilities

• Building Maintenance: Event-specific clean up
• Auxiliary in supporting and rearranging meeting rooms and spaces for special events
• Auxiliary in cleaning and organizing additional spaces and storage areas
• Auxiliary in Prairie Coteau Ranch projects
• Grounds & Equipment Maintenance: Clearing of sidewalks and doorways of debris and snow
• Litter clean up
• Mowing and watering the lawn
• Changing and checking fluids on all-terrain vehicles
• Adjusting tire air pressures on vehicles
• Minor vehicle repairs such as battery and tire changes
• Cleaning vehicles and equipment
• Checking and changing equipment lights and performing safety inspections on vehicles and equipment
• Landscaping: Inspecting and maintaining landscaped areas
• Operating small grounds equipment
• Planting of new and replacement plants, shrubs and trees
• Removing weeds, trimming and pruning
• Watering of new and existing plantings

Qualifications

• High School education and part-time work experience
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and pre-employment drug screen are required
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and able to read and understand instructions
• Able to speak with personnel from Ducks Unlimited and other agencies
