Building Services Manager
About the Role
Clay County Missouri’s Facility Maintenance Office seeks a dynamic, organized, and innovative leader to serve as its Contract/Building Services Manager. This position oversees contracts, bids, custodial operations, and vendors to deliver efficiency while maximizing taxpayer dollars in the care of Clay County’s buildings and grounds. The role also manages a crew of custodial/maintenance personnel to ensure safe, attractive, comfortable, and efficient facilities for visitors and employees.
The ideal candidate will have experience in contract review and administration, procurement, project management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, team leadership, maintenance software, and safety protocols. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to handle detailed and stressful situations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contracts, bids, and vendor services for building and grounds maintenance.
- Manage and lead a team of custodial and maintenance personnel.
- Provide general supervision of professional and technical staff, including establishing priorities and allocating resources.
- Monitor monthly expenditures and ensure budget compliance.
- Maintain the integrity and safety of county buildings and grounds.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in contract review and administration.
- Strong procurement and project management background.
- Knowledge of budgeting, team leadership, and maintenance software.
- High organizational and communication skills.
Pay
Annual salary range: $63,508.02 - $66,071.41 (dependent on experience).
