What You’ll Do
- Perform custodial duties and maintain building grounds.
- Upkeep fleet vehicles and set up for court meetings.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment.
- Clean coils, change filters, and replace belts.
- Execute carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and construction projects.
- Finish and repair plaster and wood surfaces.
- Repair and construct wood and metal furniture and fixtures.
- Maintain plumbing equipment and fixtures.
- Adjust and calibrate various machines and equipment.
- Exercise independent judgment in routine maintenance.
- Manage inventory of supplies and tools.
- Receive work orders with sketches or blueprints.
- Handle print shop duties and maintenance.
- Transport and distribute mail and supplies.
- Perform additional related tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of safety protocols and occupational hazards for working in various conditions, structures, and platforms indoors and outdoors, including elevated platforms and structures.
- Familiarity with standard tools and practices in trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry).
- Ability to perform skilled/semi-skilled work from sketches and blueprints.
- Capability to follow instructions and guide others.
- Proficient in operating motor vehicles and equipment.
- Understanding of computer and mail operations, including print shop machinery.
- Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service regulations and mailing standards.
- Familiarity with business practices and departmental procedures.
- Effective relationship-building skills and ability to work independently.
- Intermediate motor vehicle knowledge for monitoring and maintaining fleet vehicles.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or motorized equipment as necessary in the performance of assignments.
- Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions as necessary in the performance of assignments.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks safely at elevated heights.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds on a regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
- At least one-year in building operations capacity preferred.
