Building Maintenance Worker II-Freedom Park

About the role

Delivers Parks and Recreation building maintenance materials daily between branches and delivers items from vendors; Loads/unloads bins from vehicle at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Uses ticketing system to maintain record of repairs
  • Performs electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs as required
  • Responsible for painting facilities
  • Assembles and moves furniture and equipment as needed
  • Maintains routine check on general condition of buildings assigned
  • Pick up trash from parking lot and grounds of all branches
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year job related experience
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of ticketing software
  • Problem solving and mechanical skills
  • Familiarity with painting tools and materials
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills along with the ability to deal effectively with people

Pay

$17.60 - $22.00 hourly based on qualifications
