Building Maintenance Operations Supervisor (2 Vacancies)

About the role

The Department of Environmental Services (DES), Facilities and Engineering Division seeks two Building Maintenance Operations Supervisors to manage a team providing building repair and maintenance services to a portfolio of over 80 County buildings. These positions include oversight of critical sites at two Data Centers and six radio sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance of critical sites at two Data Centers and six radio sites.
• Manage a team that provides building repair and maintenance services to over 80 County buildings.
• Oversee the operation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, emergency power equipment, plumbing, equipment, computerized building automation systems, building envelope, and other related components.

Requirements

• Experience managing teams in building maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of HVAC mechanics, building engineering, and stationary watch engineering.
• Ability to operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and emergency power equipment.
• Experience with computerized building automation systems.
• Knowledge of building envelope and related components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as facilities management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance operations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
