Building 36000 2nd Floor Reconfiguration to Conference Space
About the role
Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to Reconfigure Building 36000 2nd Floor Conference Space.
This acquisition is 100% Certified Women Owned Small Business Set Aside under NAICS 236220 (Size Standard $45.0 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
Responsibilities
The purpose of this project is to Reconfigure Building 36000 2nd Floor Conference Space. This consists of the reconfiguration of the 2nd Floor area to better serve as a conference room suite.
This includes demolition and construction of walls, doors, electrical power and lighting, mechanical ductwork, plumbing fixtures and lines, and adjustment of fire suppression, alarm, and mass notification systems.
Also included is miscellaneous site work to support the facility and meet code requirements. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work.
Requirements
- Comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions.
- Perform all work within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX.
- Meet the Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20260230 05/18/2026; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building County: Bell County in Texas.
- Provide a bid guarantee in the amount of at least 20% of the bid price but not exceeding $3 million.
- Provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100 percent of the original contract price.
Qualifications
Interested parties must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov to receive a government contract award. Bidders shall ensure SAM information is current.
Schedule
A site visit will be conducted on August 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The solicitation will be issued on July 31, 2026, and bids will be opened on August 31, 2026. The contract performance will be completed 300 days after contract award.
