Budget Analyst- Healthcare Reimbursement

Summary

The Colusa County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Budget Analyst to join their leadership team. This role supports budgeting, fiscal planning, grants, contracts, and state and federal reimbursement programs, helping to build the future of financial operations.

Role

• Develop and monitor department budgets
• Analyze financial trends
• Oversee grants and contracts
• Maximize state and federal funding opportunities
• Help establish and expand Medi-Cal reimbursement processes through programs such as: County-Based Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (CMAA), Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT), Voluntary Rate Range (VRR), and other state and federal reimbursement programs
• Work with department leadership to develop fiscal procedures and financial strategies that support long-term sustainability while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Supervision and Examples of Duties

• Receives general direction from the Director, Deputy Director, or designee

Qualifications

• Two years of increasingly responsible experience in budgeting and financial administration for an organization
• Experience in Medi-Cal billing
