Budget Analyst (Field)

About the role

This position is located in the Office of Field Operations. The incumbent provides assistance and program oversight to budget support and analysis functions for Field Operations.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Field Divisions primary resource on matters concerning administrative and training program budgets.
• Prepares various reports, exhibits, analyses, numerous tables, and other material relating to budget estimates and justification.
• Maintains and monitors the execution of the Field Divisions operational budget.
• Analyzes annual budget submissions for the Field Division to assure consistency and compliance with established ATF, DOJ and federal policies.

Requirements

Conditions of employment:

• Must be U.S. Citizen or National.
• Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st, 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.
• May be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
• Education: Successful completion of a master's or an equivalent graduate degree, or successful completion of at least 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LLB or JD, if related.
• Combination of Education and Experience: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above.
