About the role
The incumbent works directly under the supervision of the Chief of Navigation Branch, performing a variety of budget administration functions.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains budget documents and reports.
- Monitors and analyzes financial data to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Prepares and submits budget requests and justifications to senior management.
- Oversees the allocation and utilization of funds within the budget.
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial information to stakeholders.
- Maintains records and documentation related to budgetary activities.
- Collaborates with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Provides guidance and support to staff on budget-related matters.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in budget administration.
- Knowledge of federal budgeting principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
- Experience with budget management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
