Job Summary
As a green room server, the position involves assisting all bands and contracted artists at the venue. The server must comply with Brooklyn Bowl company standards for serving and maintain up-to-date Health Cards and Sheriff’s Cards. Balancing tasks with maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for artists is crucial.
Greenroom Opening Server Duties
- Receive shift paperwork detailing preparations needed.
- Ensure green rooms and Touring office are clean.
- Stock water and tea in fridges.
- Pull dirty towels and launder them.
- Stock plates, napkins, silverware, and cups.
- Clean and replenish condiment caddies.
- Set up cold breakfast and/or lunch as specified.
- Maintain buffets by keeping them presentable and removing trash.
- Bus tubs and clean up breakfast/lunch setups before closing.
- Position outside Box 617 when not performing a specific task.
- Circulate through work area to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control.
Qualifications
- 2 years of food server experience required.
- Proficiency in MAC numbers is an asset.
- Previous Green Room Service helpful.
- Personal Assistant to VIP/Celebrity experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all stages of food and beverage service in the Green Room.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of dining/service area.
- Greet and make guests feel welcome.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly.
- Ensure guests have an enjoyable experience.
- Know all menu items and specials, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Check tables for guest needs and ensure appropriate utensils and condiments are available.
- Obtain food and drink orders from guests, make suggestions, and follow service standards.
- Collect and process payments.
- Use POS system to input orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate any problems or guest concerns to management promptly.
- Comply with Health Code and Alcohol Regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience.
Non-Physical Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Food Worker / Health Card required.
- Valid Alcohol Awareness Card required.
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, restaurant, or other related fields.
- Ability to build rapport with guests.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to become familiar with menu, preparation procedures, and prices.
- Ability to work closely and efficiently with others.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to all safety measures and policies.
Physical Qualifications
- Physical ability to handle a food server's tray ranging up to approximately 20-35 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout the work area or venue during the entire shift.
- Must be able to work in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
