Job Summary

As a green room server, the position involves assisting all bands and contracted artists at the venue. The server must comply with Brooklyn Bowl company standards for serving and maintain up-to-date Health Cards and Sheriff’s Cards. Balancing tasks with maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for artists is crucial.

Greenroom Opening Server Duties

  • Receive shift paperwork detailing preparations needed.
  • Ensure green rooms and Touring office are clean.
  • Stock water and tea in fridges.
  • Pull dirty towels and launder them.
  • Stock plates, napkins, silverware, and cups.
  • Clean and replenish condiment caddies.
  • Set up cold breakfast and/or lunch as specified.
  • Maintain buffets by keeping them presentable and removing trash.
  • Bus tubs and clean up breakfast/lunch setups before closing.
  • Position outside Box 617 when not performing a specific task.
  • Circulate through work area to maintain line of sight and atmosphere control.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of food server experience required.
  • Proficiency in MAC numbers is an asset.
  • Previous Green Room Service helpful.
  • Personal Assistant to VIP/Celebrity experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all stages of food and beverage service in the Green Room.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of dining/service area.
  • Greet and make guests feel welcome.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly.
  • Ensure guests have an enjoyable experience.
  • Know all menu items and specials, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Check tables for guest needs and ensure appropriate utensils and condiments are available.
  • Obtain food and drink orders from guests, make suggestions, and follow service standards.
  • Collect and process payments.
  • Use POS system to input orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate any problems or guest concerns to management promptly.
  • Comply with Health Code and Alcohol Regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience.

Non-Physical Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Food Worker / Health Card required.
  • Valid Alcohol Awareness Card required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, food service, restaurant, or other related fields.
  • Ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to become familiar with menu, preparation procedures, and prices.
  • Ability to work closely and efficiently with others.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Adhere to all safety measures and policies.

Physical Qualifications

  • Physical ability to handle a food server's tray ranging up to approximately 20-35 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout the work area or venue during the entire shift.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
