Brokerage Coordinator - Greenwood, IN

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a profitable customer base
• Identify, source, qualify, and engage service providers for all Truckload Brokerage solutions
• Negotiate rates and secure contracts with service providers, continually evaluating and monitoring service performance
• Provide T/L rate quotes to customers, working directly with customers on quotes and negotiate pricing for services
• Maintain and grow customer relationships to create a diverse book of business
• Source, qualify and set up new carriers from start to finish providing timely distribution of information to teams by uploading into the TMS
• Sell business through cold calls, qualified leads from existing customers and Kelley account representatives
• Secure contractual agreements with new service providers prior to load execution
• Accountable for service provider’s performance and pricing accuracy
• Research provider performance problems and provide feedback that facilitates resolution
• Avoid any delinquent accounts by verifying and establishing customer’s credit

Requirements

• Possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
• Possess strong Customer Service skills
• Have 2-3 years brokerage/logistics experience
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and other technology related to the brokerage industry
