RESPONSIBILITIES
- Allocate encoder inventory based on destination requirements and event needs.
- Cookordination delivery, setup, and FAX checks with on-site arena contacts.
- Rout live feeds across broadcast, digital, field production, and monitoring endpoints.
- Verify audio configurations, video frame rates, and signal quality before every air window.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal production teams and on-site arena crews during live windows.
- Troubleshoot signal drops and encoding issues at first response, escalating to engineering when needed.
- Operate studio gear — lighting, control systems, audio boards, and associated equipment — for studio and remote productions.
- Workflow Evolution: Keep pace with new streaming trends and technical techniques, adapting daily operations to incorporate industry best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in live sports, news, or studio production — roles like Studio Technician, Field Production Technician, Technical Operations Specialist, Audio Assistant/A2, or A/V Technician.
- Strong technical foundation in modern broadcast hardware and software systems.
- Working knowledge of video routing, audio mapping, and transmission equipment for studio and remote broadcasts.
- Understanding of SRT, RTMP, LiveU/Bonded Cellular, Starling and Satellite Uplink workflows, internet bandwidth, technology protocols and broadcast procedures.
- Ability to schedule and manage multiple feeds, and troubleshoot signal issues.
- Proven composure under live conditions — you thrive on real-time comms, tight checklists, and a fast clock.
- Sharp analytical instincts for diagnosing connectivity, signal flow, and quality issues.
- Clear, concise communication — equally comfortable directing an arena crew and escalating to an engineer.
