Bridge / Structures Estimator

About the role

Position Summary: A sample of the position's duties and responsibilities include:

• Champion safety throughout the organization
• All facets of project estimating including: analyzing plans and proposals, defining scope of work, soliciting subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring accurate quantities, and preparing bid packages
• Identify bid opportunities, obtain and review bid documents and plans.
• Assess opportunities and risks through plan reviews and site visits.
• All facets of bid preparation, review and submission.
• Cook up subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Aid in the development of project schedule.
• Support the transition to project construction management team and the development of subcontracts, purchase orders and submittals.
• Manage and develop production cost-history through field verifications, measurements and production analysis.
• Perform job costing analysis and provide feedback to field supervisors regarding performance versus budget.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree.
• 5+ years of Structures / Bridge Project experience.
• PE certification preferred but not necessary.
• Experience in field operations and estimating from a contractor's perspective.
• Heavy-civil engineering experience and expertise.
• Strong teamwork, communication, self-motivation, leadership and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess:
