Bridge EIT/Coordinator
About the role
In the role of Bridge EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
- Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of bridge designs
- Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete), box culvert, sign structures, retaining walls and interchange design for highway projects
- Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, and develop structural details using specialized software
- Perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
- Develop structural details using basic structural design and analysis software
- Participate in bridge inspection, perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development
- Perform other duties as needed
Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering
- Experience in bridge/structural design including deep foundation design and prestressed concrete design
- Knowledge of Projectwise, BGS, Bridgelink
- Familiarity with TxDOT bridge design manuals, guidance, bridge standards, preferred practices and software
- Experience using Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, Projectwise, MathCAD, Bluebeam
- Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: BGS, SPColumn, BridgeLink
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge
- Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
- Strong understanding and hands-on use of computers for structural layout and design
- Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment
