Brewery Representative

The ideal candidate must live in the Montgomery County or Washington DC area, preferably Silver Spring or Bethesda MD.

What You'll Brew

• Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
• Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)
• Identify major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products, and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brand
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
• Conduct waitstaff / bartender educations, beer tastings, and evening promotions
• Work conditions vary greatly day to day due to customer-facing nature of role
• Periodically required to work weekends and holidays to support the needs of the business
• Occasionally travel for meetings and trainings
• Regularly travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalers

Ingredients You’ll Bring

• Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
• An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
• Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
• Able to lift and move cases of beer frequently
• Able to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently

Pay

The salary range is between $48,000 and $72,000. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location.
