About the role

Join the Department of Surgery at Creighton University Medical Center CHI Health within the Division of Breast Surgery.

Provide a broad-based Breast Oncology Surgery at our academic medical center and award-winning Breast Health Center.

Work within a team-oriented, multidisciplinary setting. Ample opportunities for support and mentorship.

Active participation in the academic mission of the department.

An academic appointment, commensurate with experience, will be requested at Creighton University School of Medicine.

The position will be resourced for scholarly endeavors including clinical trials & opportunities for collaboration with basic and translational scientists at the Creighton Henry Lynch Cancer Center.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
  • Candidates are expected to have a fellowship in Breast Surgery, with invitation for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery with passion for team-based clinical care and surgical education.
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health-care professionals
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families
