About the role
This hybrid position is ideal for a breast surgeon who values community-based patient care supported by the depth, infrastructure, and collegiality of a nationally recognized academic cancer center.
Responsibilities
- Practice primarily at a satellite hospital within the Health System, delivering compassionate, high-quality care close to where patients live
- Maintain access to the KU Cancer Center’s NCI-designated cancer center resources, including robust clinical trial availability
- Participate in a dedicated Breast Surgical Oncology practice, including call rotation integrated with a supportive surgical team
- Benefit from the same tumor boards, clinical pathways, and specialty resources as surgeons practicing at the main academic campus
Requirements
- MD, DO, or equivalent
- Board eligible/Board certified in General Surgery
- Completion of a specialized fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology
- Fellowship or Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship with a breast emphasis
- Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
