About the role

Exceed sales forecast objectives for all products, including capital equipment, consumables, and service product lines. Develop and execute sales plans, gap analyses, marketing, and educational strategies. Present and sell the Hologic value proposition to multiple stakeholders at all levels, building trusted advisor relationships with key customer contacts and decision makers. Develop new prospects, establish customers, and manage the sales funnel to analyze activity and provide accurate forecasts. Leverage internal resources across sales, clinical, service, and national accounts to optimize customer experience.

  • Demonstrate our technology in the operating room, pathology lab, and breast center.
  • Provide onsite training and technical support during procedures to ensure proper use of all products.
  • Attend corporate training, sales meetings, conventions, and in-field development courses.
  • Create and implement custom in-field promotional programs for targeted regional customers and decision makers.
  • Provide feedback on product performance, competition, marketing practices, and customer satisfaction; submit special reports on territory operations, product acceptance, and competitive activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in capital equipment and/or medical instrument sales; operating room experience and ability to work with surgeons is desirable.
  • Ability to develop a market based on new product/technology and surgical procedures.
  • Familiarity with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies.
  • Experience developing and establishing professional education training courses for surgeons and nursing staff.
  • Provide surgical procedure and technical product support in surgery as well as ongoing customer service.
  • Track record of success achieving business results in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic skills; ability to navigate and win complex customer opportunities.
  • Proven negotiation skills with supply chain (capital sales).
  • High-level business and financial acumen along with high emotional intelligence.
  • Top performer (e.g., Presidents Club) and consistent revenue growth generator in previous role.
  • Valid driving license, satisfactory driving record, and serviceable vehicle for work use (extensive driving required).
  • Overnight travel up to 50%, depending on the territory.

Pay

The total compensation range for this role is $200,000 to $225,000, with 100% commission-based earnings. Final compensation depends on territory and performance versus quota.
