Breast Sonographer

About the Role

Performs breast sonography in accordance with clinical standards, policies, and organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders
• Educates patients and prepares/administrates contrast media or medications
• Positions patients for screening and diagnostic mammography
• Analyzes imaging results and assists with interventional procedures such as biopsies and localizations
• Ensures equipment safety and performs quality control
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards
• Operates independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Registered and certified in Mammography and Breast Sonography by ARRT
• At least 6 months of relevant experience
• Valid state license if required
• BLS certification
