About the Role
Performs breast sonography in accordance with clinical standards, policies, and organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders
- Educates patients and prepares/administrates contrast media or medications
- Positions patients for screening and diagnostic mammography
- Analyzes imaging results and assists with interventional procedures such as biopsies and localizations
- Ensures equipment safety and performs quality control
- Maintains compliance with regulatory standards
- Operates independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered and certified in Mammography and Breast Sonography by ARRT
- At least 6 months of relevant experience
- Valid state license if required
- BLS certification
