Breast and Cutaneous Oncology Surgeon (Assistant , Associate , or Full Professor - CHS/CT)

Job Summary

The Department of Surgery at The University of Wisconsin is seeking an exceptional academic surgeon with a clinical practice focused in Breast Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Surgery to join our Division of Surgical Oncology. Candidates should be board-eligible or board-certified in General Surgery. Completion of a breast surgery or surgical oncology fellowship is strongly preferred but not required.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Service and Teaching

• Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.

• Essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

• Research

• Support for research and/or programmatic participation/development will also be considered.

• Clinical Elective

• Primary inpatient and outpatient practice will occur at University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center. A new state-of-the-art outpatient clinic at The Eastpark Medical Center opened in 2025 and includes multi-disciplinary breast and cutaneous oncology clinics.

Required Qualifications

• A Wisconsin medical license by the appointment start date.

• Board certification or board eligibility from the American Board of Surgery, American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, or equivalent is required by the appointment start date.

• Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges by the appointment start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a fellowship in Surgical Oncology and/or Breast Surgery by appointment start date is strongly preferred.

• For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.

• For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
