Bravanese Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a Bravanese Interpreter for a remote position. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate interpretations of conversations between Bravanese and English speakers.
• Speak clearly and use proper pronunciation and enunciation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm during interpreting sessions.
• Adapt to various industries and understand common procedures and practices.
• Provide cultural sensitivity and handle sensitive topics like end of life conversations.
• Operate company-provided software and systems to perform all aspects of the job.

Requirements

• Fluency in Bravanese and English with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to concentrate and remain neutral during interpreting sessions.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write Bravanese and English.

Qualifications

• Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.
• Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction.
• Manual dexterity to type or write.
• Ability to lift up to 26 lbs.

$0.75 - $0.90 per minute.

This is a remote position where the Interpreter works from their home-office.
