Branch Specialist

Greet members by phone and in person, determine the nature of service required, and either provide requested services or direct them to the appropriate area. May provide notary and/or DMV license transactions and services. Resolve problems and assist with administrative functions in the absence of the manager. Provide a high level of customer service according to the Club's Quality Assurance Standards.

Responsibilities

  • In states offering DMV license services, provide registration services to members; maintain current knowledge of DMV regulations and complete all transactions according to State DMV and Club procedures.
  • Prepare TripTiks®; provide maps, tour books, and other travel-related materials.
  • Assist members with hotel and/or car reservations.
  • Promote and sell AAA memberships.
  • Process membership payments and upgrades to higher-value memberships (Plus, Premier, etc.); offer automatic renewal feature.
  • Process insurance payments and offer automatic renewal.
  • Issue passport photos and International Driving Permits (IDPs).
  • Process Travel Money product transactions; provide merchandise and attraction ticket sales.
  • Balance and reconcile cash drawer; prepare daily deposits.
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Perform notary services in accordance with the National Notary Association and Club procedures.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities based on members’ product needs and service.
  • Mentor and train junior employees; assist with timekeeping and scheduling branch employees.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 4-6 years of Branch Specialist 2 and/or 3 or related experience preferred.
  • Solid computer literacy and data input skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor others.
  • Proficiency in State DMV licensing system.
  • Ability to work quickly and handle multiple tasks or assignments on a daily basis.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid notary license as required; Notary Public - National Notary Association within 1 year preferred.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences (approximately 5%).
