About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Operations Associate Manager for our National Branch Network as part of the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role involves leading and supervising risk and operations of teller functions to deliver exceptional customer service and colleague experience while ensuring compliance and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise risk and operations of teller functions to ensure quality, compliance, and exceptional customer and colleague experiences.
  • Provide feedback and ideas for improving customer service, colleague experience, and performance management processes.
  • Perform operational and customer support tasks, including resolving or escalating concerns and complaints.
  • Engage customers in conversations, build relationships, and provide excellent service.
  • Manage the schedule and daily operations of the teller line, making decisions and resolving issues under regional management direction.
  • Leverage knowledge of regulations, policies, and audit procedures to support customers and employees.
  • Collaborate with branch employees, colleagues, and mid-level managers.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team to achieve business objectives and meet full potential.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for branch operations.
  • Mentor and guide talent development, including hiring assistance.
  • Assess customer needs and refer those interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member (without taking applications or negotiating terms).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience assessing and meeting customer needs or resolving issues (through work, training, military experience, or education).
  • 1+ years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

  • Leadership skills to build, develop, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong customer service skills, including listening, eliciting information, and resolving complex issues.
  • Experience managing customer service, operations, or financial services in a high-volume, fast-paced, and changing environment.
  • Ability to educate customers on technology, such as mobile banking.
  • Professionalism and integrity in interactions with customers and employees.
  • Knowledge of banking laws, regulations, compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking.
  • Relevant military experience (e.g., personnel benefits management, processing orders, wartime readiness, HR, or recruiting).
  • Cash handling experience.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator (LO) positions, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.
  • Ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
