Branch Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lives out the mission statement centered on the values of respect, service, and excellence.
• Works under the direction of the branch manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branch.
• Assists the branch manager with P&L management.
• Supervises the inside sales staff and the warehouse manager.
• Serves as the “go-to” leader for customer service opportunities and issues.
• Searches for ways to improve branch operations and sales.
• Makes sure all branch operations are monitored, including: warehouse processes, physical inventory, fleet, payroll, bank deposits, cycle counts, and daily reports.
• Works alongside the warehouse manager and associates.
• Uses company's sophisticated inventory management network, which ties all Lansing branches together.
• Responsible for branch staffing.
• Does what is necessary to get the job done while following the mission statement.

Qualifications

• Experienced manager and supervisor with the ability to motivate subordinates.
• High integrity and energy while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced manager with the ability to motivate subordinates.
• Experience with building products either as a salesperson or in senior warehouse roles.
• Ability to meet and reach personal goals.
• Strong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous jobs or by education.
• Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to work one-on-one with customers and the ability to resolve sensitive business-related issues.
• Strong computer knowledge.
• All-around business professional with exceptional telephone etiquette.
• Competitor with a hunger for success and the willingness to go the extra mile.
• Strong communication and social skills.
• Heavy lifting – up to 70 pounds – may be required on occasion.
