Responsibilities
- Lives out the mission statement centered on the values of respect, service, and excellence.
- Works under the direction of the branch manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branch.
- Assists the branch manager with P&L management.
- Supervises the inside sales staff and the warehouse manager.
- Serves as the “go-to” leader for customer service opportunities and issues.
- Searches for ways to improve branch operations and sales.
- Makes sure all branch operations are monitored, including: warehouse processes, physical inventory, fleet, payroll, bank deposits, cycle counts, and daily reports.
- Works alongside the warehouse manager and associates.
- Uses company's sophisticated inventory management network, which ties all Lansing branches together.
- Responsible for branch staffing.
- Does what is necessary to get the job done while following the mission statement.
Qualifications
- Experienced manager and supervisor with the ability to motivate subordinates.
- High integrity and energy while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced manager with the ability to motivate subordinates.
- Experience with building products either as a salesperson or in senior warehouse roles.
- Ability to meet and reach personal goals.
- Strong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous jobs or by education.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – the ability to work one-on-one with customers and the ability to resolve sensitive business-related issues.
- Strong computer knowledge.
- All-around business professional with exceptional telephone etiquette.
- Competitor with a hunger for success and the willingness to go the extra mile.
- Strong communication and social skills.
- Heavy lifting – up to 70 pounds – may be required on occasion.
