Branch Manager-Springfield, IL

About the role

We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Springfield Branch. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in business, sales, or operations management, preferably in the electrical distribution industry. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch performance to align with organizational policies, practices, and culture
• Oversee branch budget preparation and monitor performance against objectives
• Develop and maintain business relationships with customers and suppliers
• Monitor competitive conditions and build relationships to increase market share
• Oversee branch inventory status, including cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies
• Interact regularly with customers to improve customer service and sales goals
• Support employee training and qualification processes
• Conduct performance evaluations and address personnel issues
• Interview and hire branch employees
• Report accidents and conduct investigations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business, sales, or operations management
• Experience in the electrical distribution industry is desired
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Sales and Marketing or related field
• Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills
• Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from various stakeholders
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Effective time management and organization skills
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Travel may be required

Pay
