The Branch Manager in Training (BMIT) is a performance-based, hands-on, customer-focused role responsible for delivering results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations. This position is intended to be a developmental role leading to promotion into a Branch Sales Manager position.

Responsibilities

  • Actively assist in meeting the Branch’s performance metrics as defined by management.
  • Utilize sales tools to provide an exceptional customer experience and drive new customer growth through in-store and external marketing efforts.
  • Service an ever-growing consumer loan portfolio, present financial solutions based on customer needs, and educate customers on loan terms and conditions.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships throughout the loan process and life cycle.
  • Deploy and track community marketing efforts to generate sales and customer growth.
  • Assist in managing the P&L to meet all budgeted numbers and management’s expectations.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate cash controls and security procedures in line with Company and Loss Prevention standards.
  • Enter customer and transaction information accurately into the point-of-sale system and maintain required documentation.
  • Perform and document collection calls, field visits, and other approved collection activities.
  • Support day-to-day Branch operations and communication with customers and employees under the supervision of the Branch Sales Manager and Divisional Director of Operations.
  • Work closely with team members in a positive environment to enhance the customer experience.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Sales and/or customer service experience required; one year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.
  • Strong math skills, including the ability to count cash.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply complex and detailed information.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally.
  • Ability to negotiate payment terms and effectively communicate loan requirements.
  • Understanding of and ability to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing the industry.
  • Proficiency in computer programs required to process customer transactions.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and follow procedures under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to insured, reliable transportation for marketing, collections, staffing, and banking responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel within the division for marketing, collections, staffing, special events, and banking.
  • Must be 18 years or older (19 in AL), eligible to work in the USA, and able to pass all post-offer screens, including criminal background check, MVR, credit check (if required by state law), and reference check.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for long periods of time; occasional sitting, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
  • Frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs.; occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
  • Typing, data entry, grasping, and transferring items between hands or to another person or receptacle.
  • Housekeeping/cleaning duties (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, bathroom, etc.), including exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Use of office equipment, including computers.
  • Ability to travel to and complete physical requirements at any center within the division.

Schedule

Regular and punctual attendance is required. Schedules may be changed as needed to accommodate business needs. Overtime may be required.
