Branch Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

About the role

We're hiring a Branch Manager for a global freight forwarder. We're helping one of our clients, a global freight forwarder specializing in air, ocean, multimodal, and contract logistics, find a Branch Manager to lead all branch operations. This is a high-volume, time-critical environment with a strong focus on electronics, semiconductors, and Asia-Pacific trade lanes, and you'll own the branch's growth and performance end to end. Based in Rosedale, NY (hybrid) · EST.

Responsibilities

• Own the full P&L: revenue targets, cost control, margin improvement, and profitability
• Lead, coach, and develop the sales, operations, and customer service teams
• Build and expand customer relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Oversee daily freight operations (air/ocean booking, documentation, customs, warehouse coordination)
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations, safety, and company SOPs
• Monitor KPIs (on-time performance, claims, productivity) and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with regional and global teams on capacity, pricing, and service delivery
• Manage local vendor and carrier relationships

Requirements

• 7+ years in logistics/freight forwarding, including 3+ years in branch or operations management
• A proven track record growing sales and managing P&L
• Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight, Incoterms, and customs
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred
