Station Manager – Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Station Manager – Freight Forwarding oversees the day-to-day operations at a freight forwarding station, ensuring efficient handling and delivery of goods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo
• Manage inventory levels and ensure compliance with regulations
• Coordinate with carriers and clients to resolve issues and improve service
• Train and manage a team of station staff
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics management
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations
• Experience with freight tracking systems
