Branch Driver

About the role
The Branch Driver I is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). This role ensures deliveries are prepared efficiently, materials are correct and undamaged, and all documentation is completed accurately.
Responsibilities
- Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and repairs; alert supervisor of needed maintenance.
- Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
- Load and unload vehicle, verifying material correctness (quantity and type) and condition before departure.
- Assist in preparing orders for delivery as needed.
- Complete all delivery documentation, including customer-signed receipts, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests.
- Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition, quantities, and catalog numbers.
- Pick up materials from company suppliers.
- Perform other branch duties as required, such as counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must attend company driver training if no prior experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record reviews.
- Must obtain a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
- No suspended driver’s license due to traffic accidents/violations in the past 3 years.
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Skills
- Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not exceeding 26,000 GVW.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic/driver laws.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Pay
$19.97 to $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
